One of the added joys of staying at Birchwood Acres is the local area, made up of the charming towns of Maiden Rock, Stockholm and Pepin. A short drive – or bike ride – in almost any direction finds amazing breakfast pastries, cold refreshments on sunny decks, a great evening meal or a perfect afternoon ambling through local stores. There’s also a winery and an orchard where visitors can pick apples, buy a pie or sample freshly made cider.
